The Richard Rogers Partnership designed the debating chamber, (the Senedd in Cardiff Bay) which was subsequently built by Taylor Woodrow. Welsh materials such as slate and Welsh Oak were used with the design based around openess and transparency. The Senedd holds the debating chamber and Committee Rooms and was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on St. David's Day, 1 March 2006.

Harlech Castle was built by King Edward I during his conquest of Wales with its seven-year siege during the War of the Roses being immortalised in the famous song, "Men of Harlech". It is situated in Harlech, Gwynedd, Wales and is a concentric castle, built on top of a cliff close to the Irish Sea and notable in particular for its massive gatehouse.

Tonypandy is a town in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff, within the historic county boundaries of Glamorgan, Wales, lying in the Rhondda Fawr Valley. The bronze statue seen on the attached label was commissioned by the Rhondda Civic Society in 1993 to commemorate the many mining communities of the Rhonnda Valley.

Five miles south of Pembroke and a mile beyond the village of Bosherton with its 13th century church and famous lily ponds you will find one of the most picturesque little 6th century hermits' chapels in the United Kingdom. It got its name from the hermit and saint who lived there many centuries ago, St Govan.

Rhossili is located at the most Western part of the Gower Peninsula. The label attached to the 1st class stamp shows the prominent wreck of the Helvetia which ran aground on Rhossili Bay in November 1887.
